Antique Cadinen Plate Empress Hermine, Monogram H under Crown
Empress Hermine and the House of Hohenzollern
This antique plate from the Cadinen manufactory bears the gilded "H" monogram under a crown for Hermine, Princess of Reuss Elder Line (1887–1947). After her marriage to Kaiser Wilhelm II in 1922, Hermine became the best-known representative of the last generation of the German Imperial House. During the years of exile at Huis Doorn, she stood closely by her husband's side and campaigned for the memory of the monarchy.
Typical Cadinen Red with Gold Decoration
The plate features the coveted Cadinen red and a fine gold rim. The center displays the crowned "H" monogram in gold. Its simple yet prestigious design makes this piece an attractive testament to Hohenzollern history.
Condition and Dimensions
- Diameter: approx. 11.5 cm
- Excellent condition
- Only minimal abrasion to the gold print in the center
Rare Collector's Item with Connection to Empress Hermine
Objects with a direct connection to Empress Hermine are significantly rarer than pieces with the monogram of Wilhelm II. This antique Cadinen plate is therefore an interesting collector's item for enthusiasts of the German Imperial House, the Reuss family, and historical monarchy memorabilia.
