This historical gift frame with the official wedding photo of Prince Louis Ferdinand of Prussia and Grand Duchess Kira Kirillovna Romanova, dated 1938, is a rare testament to the last dynastic connections between the German Imperial House and the Russian Tsarist House. The wedding took place on May 4, 1938, in Huis Doorn, Netherlands – the exiled residence of Kaiser Wilhelm II, who personally attended the Protestant ceremony. Two days earlier, on May 2, the Orthodox wedding was performed at Cecilienhof Palace in Potsdam.

This union was considered a symbolic bond between two formerly rivalrous lines of high nobility, in a politically tense period shortly before World War II. The frame presented here was gifted by the Kaiser himself and displays the official wedding photo, which shows Empress Hermine and Wilhelm II alongside the bridal couple.

The photograph measures approximately 20 × 24 cm and is set in a decorative frame of approximately 34 × 40 cm. The frame is in good overall condition but has one peculiarity: The Kaiser's face was subsequently and unprofessionally retouched – a detail that could point to later political or personal motives.

This object combines dynastic significance, historical depth, and family provenance – a true highlight for collectors of Prussian memorabilia, imperial gifts, and representative objects from the circle of Wilhelm II.
