Antique Cadinen lidded vessel Empress Hermine, monogram H under crown, imperial provenance
Rare Cadinen lidded vessel with the monogram of Empress Hermine
This exceptionally rare antique Cadinen lidded vessel features a gilded monogram “H” under a crown on the side, belonging to Empress Hermine, the second wife of Kaiser Wilhelm II. The elegant blue glaze is effectively complemented by a gilded base ring, a gold rim at the top, and a gold-colored lid handle. The combination of Cadinen ceramics, imperial symbolism, and excellent craftsmanship makes this object a remarkable collector's item.
Imperial provenance with court sticker
A particular rarity is the original paper label preserved on the inside of the lid. It bears the inscription:
“Ober-Hofmarschall-Amt Sr. Majestät D. Kaisers U. Königs” (Office of the High Marshal of the Court of His Majesty The Emperor and King)
The sticker refers directly to the environment of the imperial court and makes the vessel an extraordinary testament to German monarchical history. It is therefore reasonable to assume that it may have been an official gift or a decorative object from the circle of Kaiser Wilhelm II or Empress Hermine.
Cadinen porcelain from the circle of the House of Hohenzollern
Objects with the crowned monogram of Empress Hermine are among the great rarities in the market for Hohenzollern memorabilia. Particularly sought after are pieces that have a direct connection to the imperial court or the exile period of the last imperial couple. This Cadinen vessel combines historical significance, documented provenance, and decorative impact in an exceptional way.
