The winner's trophy from the Kiel Regatta on May 17, 1913, won by the imperial yacht Iduna, is an exceptional object of Prussian Maritime Culture under Kaiser Wilhelm II. Its material combination is particularly remarkable: the trophy combines Cadinen terracotta, silver from a German court workshop, and the tusk of a wild boar to create a representative, symbolically charged work of art. This combination makes it one of the rarest and most characteristic Imperial Regatta Trophies of the late imperial era.

The use of Cadinen terracotta directly refers to Wilhelm II's personal commitment to the Royal Majolica Manufactory Cadinen, which he founded in 1904 and made a preferred supplier for imperial gifts and trophies. The terracotta usually forms the body or base of the trophy and bears the typical warm, reddish-brown Cadinen colors. It is complemented by silverwork from a renowned German workshop – often Sy & Wagner, Lazarus Posen, or Joh. Wagner & Sohn – who regularly produced trophies for the imperial regattas. The silver bears engravings: "Kiel – May 17, 1913", the name of the winning yacht Iduna, as well as a reference to the "National Race" and the pennant of the Imperial Yacht Club.

The third component, the boar's tusk, is a deliberately chosen symbol. In imperial hunting and court culture, the boar was considered a symbol of strength, courage, and victorious power. The integration of a real boar's tusk into a regatta trophy combines maritime representation with the hunting tradition of the imperial house – a typical stylistic device of Wilhelm II, who understood both areas as an expression of Prussian masculinity and dynastic strength.

Thus, a trophy is created that not only documents the victory of the Iduna but also unites the most important cultural fields of the imperial court: Cadinen ceramics, silver art, hunting iconography, and maritime symbolism. Today, such pieces are among the rarest and most coveted objects of Imperial Yacht and Regatta history.
