This exceptional fire-gilded Empress Auguste Victoria presentation frame dates from around 1900–1905 and was crafted by Preetz, Berlin. The frame is made of brass and bears the monogram “A V” in blue and white, crowned by the Empress's crown – a symbol of imperial dignity and personal gift-giving.

Inside the frame is an original signed photograph of Empress Auguste Victoria from 1906, taken by the renowned Berlin photographer Anschütz. The photograph was taken on the occasion of the silver wedding anniversary of Emperor Wilhelm II and Empress Auguste Victoria on February 27, 1906 – a significant event in the German Empire.

The frame is equipped with a stand for display and is covered on the back with elegant red moiré silk. This shows some minor holes, but overall the piece is in very good condition. With its dimensions of approximately 36 x 23 cm, the frame combines artistic quality, historical significance, and imperial provenance.

Such royal presentation frames with autographed portraits are extremely rare and sought after by collectors of Imperial memorabilia, Wilhelminian court art, and historical photography. This example offers an authentic insight into the representative culture of the German imperial house at the beginning of the 20th century.
